WELLINGTON, FL — March 30, 2026 — Horizon Pool & Patio, a three‑generation, family‑owned business celebrating 40 years in Wellington, has launched its 2026 Teacher of the Year contest to honor the educators who make a lasting impact on local students and families.
Nominations are open now through April 10, with community voting scheduled for April 11–26. The winning teacher will be announced on May 1.
Every day, teachers in Wellington show up with heart, patience, and a commitment to helping students grow. For Horizon, recognizing these educators is more than a contest — it’s a reflection of the company’s deep roots in the community.

How the Contest Works:
Nominations: Now through April 10 Anyone can nominate a Wellington K–12 teacher and share why they deserve recognition. Submit nominations at: https://pollunit.com/polls/horizonpoolteacheroftheyear2026
Public Voting: April 11–26 The community will vote online. The winner will be named the 2026 Horizon Teacher of the Year and receive a gift certificate, classroom school supply basket and a Teacher of the Year award.
Winner Announcement: May 1 The winner will be announced on Horizon Pool & Patio’s social media channels.
